Mental Health Care Online

Nearly 20 million U.S. college students were projected to enroll for the fall 2019 semester. That’s a lot of students! We believe that every single one of them deserves access to mental health care.

Unfortunately, not all of them receive it. Colleges are struggling to meet students’ increasing demand for on-campus mental health services. Because mental health conditions can worsen if left untreated, this is a cause for concern. Students decide against seeking or continuing mental health care for many reasons, including:

Stigma. Some students don’t want their peers to know that they’re in counseling, so they just don’t go. Some have a counselor hours away at home, so they can only see their counselor on breaks.

Lack of energy or motivation. Sometimes it feels impossible to call and make an appointment, get out of bed and walk to the counseling center, or drive to an off-campus provider’s office. This makes it very difficult to get necessary care.

The hectic nature of college. College students are busy. It isn’t always feasible for them to commit to the same appointment slot each week or to squeeze an appointment between classes that are on the opposite side of campus.

With UniWellness, you can see a counselor using your own computer or smartphone from your dorm. You don’t need to go anywhere, and you aren’t limited to regular business hours. Make it to your appointment without leaving your room, and fit counseling into your busy school schedule! Our platform is HIPAA-compliant, so all of your appointments and information are secure. We’re making mental health care more accessible for college students. All we need is you.
